Radio Stations Missing
Hey gang...new to the forum and just had a problem that I hope you can help me with.
When I first got my car (Aug '12 - 328I RWD) whenever I listened to the radio I would be able to roll the dial (Wheel button on the right hand side of the steering wheel) to find/select the station I want to listen to. Now the issue....I recently got my ASS programmed and ever since I got the car back, it seems that every time that I listen to the radio and try to use the "wheel" button on the steering wheel, the display on the gauges shows "No entries exist"....however, as soon as I press on the "radio" button located on arm rest (next to the Idrive knob) the list of radio stations then re-appear as they did before. In otherwords, if I dont press the "radio" button, the choice of radio stations do not appear in the instrument panel. Its not a bid deal, just a bit of a pain in the ass that I have to do this everytime that I start my car. Anyone have any suggestions as to why this may be occuring and are there any settings that I can try to fix this issue? Or did the ASS wiping screw something up? Thanks in advance. |

No problem.
If you're looking for your list of AM/FM/SAT stations, you need to do the following: 1. Hit "Radio" on the iDrive controller. 2. Pick AM, FM, or SAT, whichever you like. 3. Pick a radio station, push the iDrive controller down. 4. Push the iDrive controller to the left to "tuck away" the list of stations. The blade will slide away, the focus (red box) will be on your chosen AM/FM/SAT band. 5. Go back to the map or whatever your default screen is. 6. You'll now have the AM, FM, or SAT list under the scroll wheel on the steering wheel. Similarly, do the same thing for your Presets which is a list of your 30 favorite stations that can be mixed between AM/FM/SAT. Navigate to Presets, tap a station, then "tuck" away the menu by pushing the controller to the left. Assign one of the 1-8 shortcut buttons to a single station off of the Preset list- using this method always lets you get to your top stations and toggle between AM/FM/SAT on the steering wheel. By doing this, I never have to use the iDrive controller at all to get to my radio stations. BJ
