I pulled my lights out (yes- took the bumper off), took them apart and sanded and re-cleared the clear lenses on both the inside and out. While they were apart I replaced ALL the bulbs ( because it is such a pain to get my bear claws in there) and sent the lights to AAC lighting in Louisiana, because I have a friend who had them build a bunch of custom lights for him. They removed the CCFL units completely and built a custom LED replacement from scratch and hard wired it in to my existing system so that it operates completely stock. It really had a 100% factory look, is completely error free, and has a money back warrantee. My light look, and operate as if they were factory brand new.
I also just had a bunch of body work done, most of the car re-painted etc. the first day back having it (I was w/o it for a month) I curbed my 22s for the first time ever. Made it nearly 3 years flawlessly... Then this. So... Naturally I'm a little pissed. :-)

![]() ![]() There is a re-adjustment period for sure when you have been without your 7. I just got mine back after being in the shop for 3 MONTHS! (new motor). Understanding the re-adjustment myself right now.. But DAM did I miss my 7! Im in heaven right now! I have washed her twice in the last 72 hours P.S. To fix the inner (if its a 3 piece) rim, its about $150 and many shops will do it. If its the outer lip, well for Asanti's there are shops on Ebay now that sell the replacement lip for about $300. I recently experienced my first curb

Yes, the dealer can turn off the DRL's. Mine run just the halo rings when switched to the parking lights setting.

? both of my front parking lights are malfunctioning. the light malfunction signals when i turn my car on. what should i do to check my light bulbs first or does it even use lightbulbs? I heard you have to remoove the whole bumper to do this. is this true? Also if i want to switch my angel eyes from yellow to bright white or blue do i have to replace the whole light or just a bulb? What are some good sites to purchase bmw parts at a cheap price? I recently put 22" wheels and now my steering wheel vibrates, forum says its the struts. Where should i start looking for parts? Thanks . any opinions greatly apreciated.

Can someone please clear up the halogen vs led vs angel eyes?
are their 2 types of angel eyes out there? Led and Halogen? and the car comes stock with halogen? I have a malfunction light so i am replacing and i want mine to not be that amber color. I want them bright like the ones in the pictures shared. Are you saying these are LED Angel eyes?

Halogen is stock. LED is aftermarket and comes in a variety of colors. Your model will require you to remove the front bumper to do the install (not as hard as it sounds).
@Julio, you can replace your angel eyes w/o removing the bumper on your model. Yes you have halogen bulbs as stock. Pull them out and see if they are burnt out. Replace if needed. |

the brightest LED angel eyes are MTEC V3's for the E65 and E66's, which is 100% plug and play.

Error Code
I put in aftermarket angel eyes LED. They worked for about a month, but now they are not coming on. The bulbs are still good. Though I am not getting any light from the angel eyes, not even with stock halogen. I have checked all the fuses, the parking lights come, but the angel eyes do not. Has anyone have this happen to them?

My oem one was out so I put aftermarket ones in and the same side went out after 5 days. Everything checked out okay as well. Don't know what else to do.

Just swapped mine out today on my 07 750i with a set of LED's from BMWLED to get rid of that darn parking light warning on the dash. Bulbs were great quality and cost less than $30.
After getting the front bumper off and the headlights out, it became very clear that since the halo bulb access covers are actually on the bottom of the headlight assembly and not on the the back that it would have been nearly impossible to change them out without pulling the front bumper on the 2006 and up models. The job only took 45 minutes and using the great instructions posted above made it pretty easy to do. Thanks! |

Try to re-seat the angel bulbs. It should light both sides up.

Had a look pulling a headlamp part way out.
Apparently I don't have angel eyes on my car =/ Where the bulb is supposed to be there is no wire and only solid plastic. I didn't realize you could order these cars without =[ |
