At this point it might be easier on you to simply check every option box......

Why? The name itself is impressive, but the contents aren't IMHO.

I also added Nav, and thanks to your feedback, ditched the regular 19" upgrade and added the Competition Pkg. My E36 M3 has the UUC RSC36 (Corsa direct/reflecting muffler). Now I am wonder if I should add the perf exhaust? How is the drone with the factory system?
At this rate, I may be ordering an almost twin e92 M3 later this year. I am ready to dump the porky e93 for the lighter e92 (AW, Speed Cloth) before they stop making them.

Believe it or not, there are some things I don't need or want, starting with the Premium Package...

Sweet!! I really love the Lime Rock edition. You are one lucky dawg!! Mine is going to be almost the same spec, but AW.

The good news is that it flipped to 150 status today, so I am done making changes. A car is born; I've got a VIN!!

Here's the final configuration:

Congrats on the (almost) birth of your M3! That is a nice configuration. Now the wait for build completion and shipment.

Jon, as a side question. In your opinion, which exterior colors look the best on the M3 coupe? I know Alpine White is one and ultimately it's a personal choice but I'm simply looking for your PoV.

I really like Orange and Red, but would never get those for myself as they are just too loud for Law Enforcement. I also like Le Man Blue a lot. For me it would be either Alpine White or Jet Black. I chose White this time since I've been driving my (Cosmos) Black E36 M3 for many years now. If I didn't have to pay so much for a special Order I'd also consider Dakar Yellow.

Jon, excited to hear about your prospective M3 order.

I'm a basic minimalist when it comes to specing options. Other than HK, Heated seats and USB everything else is superfluous to me. And I'll also opt for manual seats whenever possible, since I can fine tune them better.

I didn't spec the 1 M since I got it 3rd hand, but I was fortunate to find one with only ala carte options that I would have speced had I ordered it, without the bloated option packages.

Generally not a fan of CF, although mine did come with the Performance spoiler, but since you get the CF roof I think your accessories will complement it quite nicely.

You might also want to consider having the spoiler treated as mine was with body color accent applied to the tip. Might show off the spoiler and boot lid even more.

What's the scoop on your "old" M3.............selling it, or keeping it as a track car or show car?

Jon, thank you for your feedback. Selecting a color can be the most difficult part for a lot of buyers and I am going through this process now. Having already committed to an order, the allocation slot is slated for the end of February. So I have time. Right now it is configured with Silverstone and black w/ the carbon roof. However, I like you, I also like M.R. but wonder if it would be to loud for everyday driving. LeMans and Interlagos are also considerations.

Question

Well my car is built and waiting in Bremerhaven to board a vessel.

Question of the hour: what do you think of these side stripes?

Sweet Mike! I hadn't seen your new car or post until now..

Love the accent stripe!

I am still in a quandary as to what to do with my beloved E36. I have done so much work to improve every aspect of it. I am actually considering selling it or just parking it for 10 years on block since it is in great condition and relatively low miles for a 1999 (121k on the clock). If you know anybody who might be interested, let me know.

I rather have the E36 M3 Lightweight checkered flag stickers on the hood/fender than those, IMO...

The side stripes a little too much for my taste. I am more for an understated look (which by the way gets less scrutiny from our overly eager law enforcement officers).

I need to decide whether I want ZCP before mine goes into 150. I don't like adaptive dampers in general, but I don't want the resale value to suffer because it doesn't have one of the supposedly desirable features. Decisions... decisions...
