Searching for E38 Speedometer company/supplier

Hello everyone,

I recently purchased a beautiful 2001 740I from a retired couple in White Rock, BC, Canada. We imported it into the USA. Very nice car. We are really happy with the purchase. It's my wifes new daily driver. Everything works perfectly, no complaints.

However, I would really like to retrofit the metric speedometer to a standard USA speedometer. In the process it is important to us that we keep the mileage accurate. The car has 172K I want the new speedo to read the equivalent in miles (107K miles).

Can anyone direct me to a company that offers such a service? I don't need them to remove or install the unit in the car (I can do that) I just want to buy the retrofitted speedometer.

Thank you for reading my post.

John H

Try (or do a search for E38 cluster gauge repair or picel repair). Based in Vancouver. Was going to use them to fix pixels in my gauge but found someone else local. Their prices are better than BMW dealerships.

The new speedo has to have the same mileage, due the mileage being retained not only in the speedo, but elswhere as well. If the two values don't match, the tamper dot indicator will light. Usually the only solution is a new speedo from the dealer, then coded to the car.
