E30 (1982 - 1993)
God's Chariot. The E30 was produced primarily from 1982 through 1991. The cabriolet was the one exception which was produced through 1993. |

New to e30s, need some advice on a trade
Hey guys,
Just wondering what you think about this 316i here, I'm looking for a car to commute to work and school so fuel economy is a biggie. http://victoria.kijiji.ca/c-cars-veh...AdIdZ449229351 The owner is possibly willing to trade straight across for my 1984 Toyota Celica (RWD, 2.4L 22RE, 5spd, 272km) Should I go for it? I miss my old e36 so much, and I've heard very good things about the older BMWs too. Thanks |

Go for it ! E30's are extremely fun.. I recently bought my 85 325e but it needs some work. I don't mind that though, I'm willing to learn it all plus this forum is SUCH a big help with ny repairs. Anyways, get that 316 ! German over Japanese Lol

Thanks, I think I will go for it...
Are there any common issues to look for when I go see it? Any questions I could ask the owner? |

You have to get down under and have your butt stick out. Look at the wheel wells especially. You should find them also in the trunk. Near the rear lights. After that I don't think it's much too strange. Obviously you'd stay away from a dying motor or tranny. Obviously if you wanted AC and you didn't get it you would consider the cost. Just go Google really. There's lot of information on the M10s and E30s. |
