2011 750i Rear Entertainment Remote Control
I just got a new Rear entertainment Remote Control from the BMW dealer. but it doesn't work with the rear entertainment system. I can't change menu items or move up/down on the menu. Do I need to programmer the new remote control before it can be use? Also the Select rear source is grey out(not active).
Thanks advance for your help. David |

no it should work fine. as long as it has batteries...then you can select which side (left or right seat) to control at a time by the button on the bottom of the controller......of course the tv power should be on...by pressing the buttons on the back of the center car console. Selecting rear source will only be available when a dvd is in the rear player (next to the tv power buttons)

Yes, I agree it should be working. I am thinking it might need to be sync with the iDrive since it is new remote control.

It is all fixed. I took it to dealer, you have to reprogram when you get a new remote control for the rear entertainment system.

Did you have to pay the dealer for programming the remote? I am in a similar situation and i will like to program the remote myself but i do not have the instructions.

No, they do it for free of charge.
