Joining the GT club

After looking at buying a 2010 535 station wagon with xdrive and not feeling excited about it I started looking at for a used 2011 GT. 1 week later I finally found it.

2011 535i GT xDrive. CPO which includes maintenance (not sure how true it is yet)
38k miles
Space Grey with white/black interior

Packages:
Convenience
Cold Weather
Sport
Dynamic Handling
Active Ventilated Seats
Premium Sound
Camera

Options:
Navigation
HUD
Rear Seat Entertainment
Power Sunshades rear/side
Ski Bag
Night Vision

All that for $45k

Miles are high but most likely all highway in such a short period of time and the options sort of make up for it.

What do you guys think?

Sounds like a good deal considering all the options. I agree that if the mileage is largely highway driven then the risk is lower. My wife bought a loaded 335 xi with about that mileage after 14 months and has has no problems at all. The scheduled maintenance lasts for 4 years or 50,000 miles which ever comes first so you would have that much 'room' in your warranty. Ask them to check the key fob to show when the last fluid changes were done.

Indeed and the dealer told me the CPO on this car includes maintenance till 2017 or 100,000 miles... So the warranty for me will be even longer than on a new car!

Its far better for a car to be driven primarily on the freeways or at freeway speeds, than to be driven exclusively just around town.

Oil pressure is high, keeps the engine well lubricated. Engine is fully warmed up. Unless you're in traffic, less brake wear, more life out of tires. Less wear on the transmission, better for the battery.

I wouldn't be too worried about a car that might have been a livery or at least a daily (freeway) driver.

Brilliant move on a superb handling car. With the options you stated It is a no brainer. With modern technology even if the mileage was made in stop n go traffic would not give me sleepless nights.

Bro drives the Sonata it has 170k miles most in stop n go did regular oil change and unless one looks at the speedometer you would never know.

I have had mine for 2 weeks and its lovely.
