Satellite Radio Receiver 08 X3

How do I confirm if my x3 has a satellite receiver?

Two ways:

Hit the mode button until you see sat or open your trunk and pull down the left side panel cover where the amp, blue tooth and nav module is. If you have the sat tuner it will be a silver box made by alpine that has Sirius written on it.

I have a 2007 with nav and I would like to now activate the Sirius radio when I toggle
to the Sirius screen it only displays the phone number for Sirius. I looked in the panel
in the left rear , I see the black GPS module and a small silver unit directly below that
without markings . Much lower there is a silver unit with a BMW decal and an ESN number is that it ?

Yes. That ESN number is what Sirius needs for activation.

Just a FYI. I have 4 radios with satellite. I call and ask for the promotion rate which is $25.00 for 5 months. I mark my calendar and call in 5 months tell them to cancel unless they give me the $25.00 rate which they do. I know some may thing this is a pain but on 4 radios I save a ton of money. Two of the radios end on the same day so I renew them both at the same time. They also have a promotion rate of $77.00 for a year. If you don't call it will renew at the regular rate.

Interesting that the subscription on my wife's X3 renews today. I called about the $77 rate for a year and they said that the best promotion rate they could give me was $95+taxes/fees so the total is about $106/year. Otherwise, my card was being charged a total of $123 ($109.99+fees/taxes). Saved about $17 but not as good as the deal you got.

I called 3 days ago and got 5 months for 25. Just have to tell them that you are going to cancel if you can't get that rate.

Thanks for the info. I looked behind the panel and see a silver box at the bottom but nowhere do I see Sirius. Still not sure that I have it. If I don't have the box how much $ I looking at?

I picked up a used one on ebay last week for 299. A new one from a online BMW dealer was 445. bracket was 45.00. The dealer wanted over 900. and the vehicle is pre-wired. When you remove the back cover the box would be right in your face.
