I'm no expert as this is my first time ordering, but I think it will be a nail bitter. Mine finished production on the 17th and according the BMW customer service it wasn't at the port awaiting a vessel till the 24th. Even if it got there a couple days before on the 22nd it missed the "Queen Sapphire." I'm assuming they also load the vessel the day it arrives as opposed to the morning of departure.

On the plus side if it doesn't make the "Manon" you'll probably be on the "Don Juan" departing on 2/13. There are probably other people with more knowledge of this, but best of luck to you.

Well, Bloomfield BMW gives you nothing!! Although the CA promised to send weekly updates, he never did despite my phone calls and emails. I did not receive one status update since I ordered the car. My BMW site was showing a black car instead of the space gray car that I ordered since the first day!! I contacted BMW and received all necessary info from them on the phone. After hunting down the two sales people at Bloomfield I could get the VIN number after 5 weeks!
If the deal was not that sweet, I would have cancelled the order and gone to another dealer.
But they sure lost my business after I take delivery of this car. No more cars from them and definitely no service at their facility. It is the worst car buying experience that I have ever had so far. Terrible for a $60K+ car.
The above info sounds and looks like from a scifi movie after dealing with Bloomfield BMW.

I'm right there with you on Bloomfield offering a great deal. I've actually been actively forwarding any prospective clients that I know to Bloomfield. As far as updates, I also agree. Haven't heard much since I dealt with a manager and the sales associate getting credit keeps telling me he "would" update me. At this point if I am not given credit for my ultimate drive app and then pick up the car in a hassle free manner I will have to change my opinion. It would like nothing more than to recommend Bloomfield since the manager was very professional and dealt with all my negotiations in a non confrontational way. Will let everybody know in a couple of weeks.

I'm sorry for your bad experience there. I too wouldn't deal with them again. The worst thing in the world is having to deal with people who either don't like there jobs or are too lazy. Dump them when you get a chance.

My sales advisor is almost as excited as I am and she keeps volunteering these status reports. She was even trying to see if I could do the performance delivery from Carolina. She has my business for as long as she keeps this up.

Today my car changed to "Production Ends" on the BMW USA site. Any estimate when it will be "En Route to the US"??

I just called and they said the car has been released and is awaiting departure. I see the Manon leaves tomorrow which would be killer but it would seem more likely that I end up on the Don Juan which leaves next Wednesday.

Believe it or not my guy said 5 weeks until ready to pick up and I have the same status as you.

It takes around three weeks for East Coast once on the ship. Mine's finished production on 1/29 and still not on the ship.

Ok I called the 800# and was told "vehicle released to a carrier and waiting for transportation to the port of exit." Not sure why my guy thinks 5 weeks but thats fine, don't want a new black car in the middle of this crap salt, sand and snow weather.

My car had that status last week and still not on board. If it gets on the next ship next Wed, then it is around 5 weeks from production end.

Mine said the same. I e-mailed and asked what vessel it will be coming over on. Maybe it won't be as soon as I thought....

Lol. Looks like it. They have the 2012 Google satellite pic in the background of the tracking software.

Mine's on the Figaro, which is somewhere in the middle of the Atlantic. It last reported its position on Feb 3 @ 5:29 AM.



Nobody's heard from her since. I wonder when she'll finally check back in. Maybe she was sunk by a German U-boat.

Not seeing the vessel's position on a map is killing me!

Haha Corey, I lost the Boheme a couple days ago too. I'm expecting to see it back in range in a couple days when it gets closer to Canada.

Corey, we would have heard of a U-Boat attack for sure. So it is probably sailing as planned.
