Roof Programming

Hi All
Is it possible to buy the programming kit to open and close my roof, fold my mirrors, close and open my windows and TV in motion.

The reason ai ask is that i have seen OBD Programming kit for sale and wondered if anyone has used one, with success?

ODB is On Board Diagnostics and not what you need.

Have a look at BMWcoding.com and start reading.

I'm fairly certain everything but the TV can be coded. The TV may be more difficult as it is very region specific.

Roseng knows the best as a now experienced coder! The Power Mirror fold option with Key Fob is an option that can be coded. But I am not sure that anyone has succesffully coded a top up with key fob? I do know that successful coders have resorted to purchasing the Smarttop Module instead.

I am not sure if the DVD in Motion option you are looking for is the same as in the link below, you can read and see, it is Page 57 on the coding thread on the M5 board which I have direct linked. In it is a PDF that Zerocks1 (favored mentor to our Roseng!) put together, it is Post # 567. Also, there is mention of successful mirror programming by some in the same page of posts.

Actually you cannot code for the top up on an 6 series although it is possible on 3 series.

Can the mirrors even fold by themselves? Maybe certain year models can mine is a 2006 and I don't think they have motors in them to do it or do they? hmmmmmmm

I programed my Wife's F10 to fold but my mirrors are not folding. Yes they do have motors.

You can tell if you have the feature by the buttons on the drivers window control panel. If you have a button to the left of the mirror control selector, push it and the mirrors will fold.

If not you can spend about $1.5k and install them

As Roseng has stated, if you have the button to manually fold you have the option!
