7 Series - E65 / E66 (2002 - 2008)
Discussion of BMW's 4th generation E65/E66 7 Series flagship. The E65 generated much controversy, due to its radical styling and iDrive user difficulties. Nonetheless, the E65 broke records to become the best-selling 7-series iteration ever, especially after its 2005 facelift.

Have one similar. Works great. The programs are slightly dated

Anyway to update the programs? Is there a NEED to update them?

I just bought this earlier this week. My tracking shows it left Romania.

Not really a need to update them, they will work fine for most of the diagnostics and programming, there are just some features (likely never used) that arent available with those versions of the program. Regardless you should be happy with the purchase

You can read/clear error codes. Also can code and program diff modules. Do a search for e65 coding and you will see a number of things that can be changed
