E30 (1982 - 1993)
God's Chariot. The E30 was produced primarily from 1982 through 1991. The cabriolet was the one exception which was produced through 1993.

Are you looking to buy a stock rebuilt head or do you want port/polish, performance springs, etc?

go to your local pick-a-part, find a crashed e30 and remove it, they'll charge you about $ 75 for it, take it to rebuilder and have it resurfaced, guided, reseated, etc for about $ 250, can't go wrong.

tried the junk yards already. vast majority of the e30's there were because of throwing the timing belt. Hardly any were wrecked. So most of them had pretty thrashed heads. I had a local shop quote me 450 to rebuild the head I have now. I had found a place a few months ago that had a better price for a new/rebuilt head and damned if I cannot remember their name.

Robert at www.e30motorwerks.com might have one, but he's on Huntington Beach.

Would it be worth it for you to drive to L.A. ?

If so, on San Fernando valley, pick a part on 8520 Telfair Avenue will have a few e30's for sure, or there's one a few blocks away on Sun Valley blvd too.
rebuilt it at Valley Auto Parts and Engines on 8212 Sunland Boulevard

private yards like All Star on Brandford St might have some., Harouts have them too but expensive., they're 100 feet from eachother.
