89 E30 No Spark ):

So, ive got an 89 325is bone stock been sitting for 5 years ran when parked.

225k

turns over fine, new battery, new starter..

But for some reason i get no spark whatsoever!!!

I just replaced my main relay, some busted fuses, and a new flame thrower ignition coil and stil nothing.. i did a few tests and found out that i have no power going to the ignition coil.

Can someone maybe shed some light on my situation??? Maybe a common solution for this problem!

CPS, or two. Can be tested in place.

Well, i just found out the car needs allllll new hoses, for everything.. flush the radiator, a few different sensors, water pump, throttle body needs major cleaning.

As far as my ignition problem its probably the CPS i pulled it and it was coated in **** and old coolant, very nasty! Thanks for the reply!

replacing the hoses and waterpump shouldnt be needed unless you havent posted all the information up you have of the car. would strongly recommend changing all the fluids coolant transmission engine diff and power steering oil etc

Call it an Insp2 service + for starters. Then we will get back to making it run.

Hahah yeah, it was sitting for 5 years maybe longer and i bought it off some woman, interior is like it just came off the lot but the engine is a whole different story, looks like the coolant turned into little crystals...

MAJOR service properly carried out may fix all your problems in one go.. never buy a car from a little old lady!!

wait a minute.....those are the best ones to buy from since they dont know the true price of the car. but make sure she has at least the knowledge to service the car.

na, the older people grew up with having to get points adjusted and dino oil that needed to be changed. so they were used to having the cars in the shop

nowdays, service every 5000 miles, which the first 5k is a tire rotation then the 10k mark is oil and rotation.

Oh, how I yearn for the olden days...........
