2013 x-1

I just bought an X-1
I am surprised at the overall quality .
Very disappointed.
I am wondering if BMW designers felt the need to satisfy the US EPA and there dealer network with a low gas consuming model.
I do drive a 2010 Jaguar for our other car and it is far superior to the X-1,which I understand.
Seems like they crammed technology into the small dash.
Maybe it is me,but BMW should have just rebadged a VW
Ps.really appreciate the Sirus for $350 ,which I am sure has there dealer network very happy

Why'd you buy it in the first place? Over what other choices? It's seems obvious you didn't do your due diligence.

I really liked the looks of the X1
There really is not anything like it on the market
I did test drive it,but was really sold on the BMW reputation for engineering
Ur right I failed to do the due diligence and boy do I regret it.

The X1 is an entry level car at an entry level price for a BMW. You really don't explain why you don't like it. But you can't expect it to be as luxurious as a Jaguar. However the X1 drives like a sports sedan so that should be a plus.

+1 (your OP is trolly)

Its too bad you don't like it. Alot of us think its super quality.
Sounds like you need to invest in more car shopping technique.
Figure out what you want, before you spend money.

Buy a car that you like, not one that has a pretty or reputational badge.

Infiniti EX is similar to the X1 (just lacking in rear passenger space and storage). Acura RDX is another option you will likely find luxurious. These dealers will often give you bonus discount for trading in a BMW.

Audi Q5 should really impress you if you love Jags.

BMWs historically lean more towards performance over luxury vs other luxury brands.

Edit: I just remembered there is a Jag (basically) in this segment. It's the Range Rover Evoque. Victoria Beckham was a "consultant" on the design. Sounds like it would be right up your alley!

You're one of the very few then. It wouldn't have taken more than 15 minutes for your "due diligence", so yeah... Troll post

Psst !! Hate to break the news, but the X1 has zero rear passenger space, IF the driver and/or passenger seats are positioned all the way to the rear. I'm 6'4" and need that leg room up front. Hence NO leg space in back.

I'm not arguing in regards to the X1, but have you been in the EX?

Yes, it's cramped up front, too, no head room. When it was first introduced a couple years back, I checked it out, but walked away, disappointed.

So, when the X1 came out and I found out I could fit, I got excited. It didn't take long for me to sign on the bottom line!

I call TROLL too. There's no way someone could be this foolish.
UGH...Jag...one of the most unreliable cars on the road. Except for the XKE I wouldn't own one if it were given to me.

Feed the troll.

In other news Audi Q5's are being recalled for driving like boats.

Infiniti EX's are being recalled for causing chlostraphobia.

Range Rover Evoque's are being recalled for being too cute on the outside with a Kia like interior.

Acura RDX's are being recalled for misuse of cylinder management and failing to fit in a niche.

Just sayin...

While I agree that there are a few things that I dislike about the car. Overall poor quality is not how I would have described the X1. For an entry level luxury brand vehicle, there is nothing that touches it (not even a VW).
