One speed SLOW!!!!
Just one more problem to add to the list. (I love it. I'll get this car fixed come hell or high water) Blower inside my 1999 323ic blows only one speed, Yep slow
I changed the cabin air filter. The one that came out was BLACK. A little more air is coming out but just at a single speed. Could it be the FSU? And if so thats the one that is on the drivers side foot well (the one with the spikey things)?![]() Thanks. |

Yep, probably your FSU. It's a relatively easy fix. Also, don't buy anything other than OEM for a replacement.

Stop...not yet!
Listen and hear if you see any levers or actuators moving behind dash! I assume its all electronic but linkages do break. If more air is coming out the floor than the vents then your ducting is not put together right! Il believe there's two fsu's also one on the passenger side behind lower dash, 2 or 3 bolts and it out, there is a trick to make it real easy!

There's only one FSU, and it's accessed via the driver side footwell.
