Newbie Sat Nav antenna & fuel gauge

Forgive me if the answers to these questions are already on here but I'm new to using forums and I couldn't find the answers to my issues.

I have a 2001 728 which had a non working Sat Nav( CD not DVD) unit in it. I have bought a replacement on-line but there appears to be nowhere to connect the little black cable (which I'm assuming is the GPS antenna wire) The old unit had a connector on the back for this wire.
Has anyone got any ideas how to get round this?

Also, the fuel gauge constantly reads empty. I unlocked the MDI and checked the left and right fuel readings and the right hand was reading 0.00. I fitted a new right hand sender unit in the tank but it still reads 0.00 from that side.

Any help greatly appreciated
