Smile 2003 E46 BMW 325 CI Engine misfire

I have 2003 BMW 325 CI with 130,000 Km is experiencing an intermittant engine misfire. Based on a code reader the misfire was on cylinder 4. Swapped ignition coils between #4 and #5 cylinders and the misfire disappeared. Now it's misfiring again on code 1353 on cylinder #6. This problem will disappear once in awhile by shutting the engine down and restarting. Tried fuel injector cleaner in the fuel and alway use premium grade fuel. This occurs on "cold" starts" .Asking for help.
Thanks In Advance,
Opy1

When were your spark plugs last changed? Maybe it's time to change all six plugs...

I'm unsure the answer to that question since I've only had the car few months. I'll try that and see if it resolves the issue. Thanks for the input.

The spark plugs are due, so change them. When you pull them out, check if there is oil on them. The valve cover gasket has the tendency to leak and the oil seeping on the electrode will cause P1353.
Have you noticed any oil loss?

The valve cover gaskets could be leaking as I do ocassionally have a burning oil smell from the engine so you could be onto the problem. I'll report back with my findings after changing the spark plugs. Thanks for the input.
