two other questions.

1. I am not using a siren. I just want keyless entry. so I would like the horn to chirp on lock/unlok. What wire in the glovebox area will give me that connection?

2.Also having problem with the passenger door.It won't lock or unlock WITH the keyless AND using the key in the drivers door. Any idea what that problem could be? Fuses ckeck ok.

This is wierd, I bought the 138 connector. It is identical to the one in the car. So they don't mate. ( bad post info) I need the 136.

The car has male pins. I bought female pins. (This is works)

So I need a 136 with female (socket) pins to mate with the car. Not a 136 with male pins.

What part number is on the 138 that you ordered?

using a magnifying glass I see the connector that came in the bag marked 61 13 1 378 138 is in fact marked 1378 136,

the car connector is a 136 with male pins. so that is correct.

I need to get the correct connector marked 138

Geeze I gotta find somewhere to order this stuff on line. The drive to the dealer is really difficult for me.

I learned that the door jam switch can create some wierd symptoms with the keyless entry. Mine was stuck.

Alarm Module Question

I have a 2000 Z3 roadster. The alarm module is bad. Does the alarm module also operate the key-less entry system. Or do I have two bad modules. Neither the alarm or the key-less entry are working. BMW says the alarm module is no longer available. Does someone make an after market module?

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

Cheers,

Bill
