Humming noise like a DVD is starting up

Except there is no DVD in the player....what else would be causing this noise every so often?

Anyone?

Was hoping something was wrong so it could be fixed. Oh well...moving on.

I like it but it's no 5-series....like being higher up as a change but already missing the handling of the 5....had a few ladies at a party on Saturday night tell me my car was cute. That sucked...Other than that, going great...

Are you sure about the sound being a vent opening/closing?

Do you have Navi? The Navi disc in my X runs when I unlock the door, before starting the car... presumably loading the maps before you need them. I can hear it from time to time when I'm at a light with the radio muted too.

(or is the navi in the 2013 HD based?) I am not sure :/

Pretty sure the navigation is HDD-based in '13 models but that's exactly what it sounds like.
