What do you guys think?

Last weekend i painted my break calipers, i don't think they turned out to bad?

Our calipers are puny, dinky little things which IMHO should not have any extra attention called to them, especially with larger wheels which *really* make the calipers look miniscule. So, for me, black or silver would be more appropriate than red, yellow, blue, etc.

Well... maybe i wouldn't paint them so bright, if i was going to paint them.

Anyway... were those brake calipers new? Or how did you clean them before painting?
Mine are so rusty that would be quite work before they look good.
Would be kind of good to get new ones, but these still work.

Helps to give it a good fresh new look

first I soak them in solvent for a while and used a hard wire brush, then dry well and paint with high temperature paint.

I sort of agree they're small you're right but i wanted to break up the darkness of the car, I think a little yellow works.

But, you did a good job.

Looks like a nice job. Not sure I would have gone with yellow on what looks to be a clean, stock, and classy looking convertible. Maybe black or same blue as the car (is that Monaco blue?)

Looks like a good job dude. I have learned in my short time here that everyone has their own opinions on what a "true" BMW should look like, but as long as you enjoy it, thats all that matters.

Thanks, I feel the same way, I like the job that's all that matters.
I was trying to break up some of the dark paint and I think that I pulled it off, but as you say that's my opinion.

It definitely adds an accent to the car. Some are minimalists who what a white car, black rims, black windows, clear corners, all white lights and thats it. Black and white. While the rest of us enjoy a bit of color thrown in the mix.

Fun mod man. I enjoy seeing mods that you have to put some labor into. Anyone can slap some Brembo's on their car, not everyone has the patience to knock the dirt off calipers that have +100k miles on them.

It wasn't that hard of a job, as long as you have a lift and the right tools.

The car is an 03 with 82K, it was a one owner.

Looks like they turned out really well. Not a bad mod that wasn't too expensive. Great job man!

No one is going to accuse you of the understated subtle look, but I'd say this car is totally appropriate for a younger guy which I assume you are.

Looks like quality craftsmanship and a good conversation item! Not so sure they're going to stay very clean looking once the dust gets on that color.

I would have gone with silver or black but your craftsmanship looks great.

Very nice...

Provides a nice break from what is erstwhile dark color all-round
