16:9 navigation for 2001 x5 AUX?

Hi so before i buy a 16:9 widescreen navigation head unit i am wondering/hoping it has some sort of AUX plug in port or some way to plug my ipod. Anybody have an answer or solution?

One of these forums have surely covered this issue...you can do a search or post a question...but again, this question has definitely been answered multiple times over the last decade.

The e38/e39/e53 share many of the same iPod/MP3 set-ups...so the info you'll find on any of the sites linked below should work:

OK a little tougher question that i couldn't find/ am getting tired of looking for, is can i get a newer 16:9 head for my 2001 X5 and will it work with everything in the car? Mostly becasue i would rather have a newer one and i have heard that the newer ones have a port/cassette tape. thanks

Does your audio system have the DSP option? If so, that takes you down a different path. If you've had an opportunity to explore any of the links provided...you'll see what can be done based on if you have DSP or not.

Link & video found googling "upgrade bmw to 16:9 nav screen". The bimmernav site has written info & DIYs for multiple BMW models and audio systems. Their site also details how to connect iPods & MP3 players using equipment that is out there that allows communication between these new audio components and BMWs older audio systems:
