Finally back in an e30

Just bought a 1988 325 convertible!
114,00 on the dash (which looks brand new) only one small dent on the trunk, virtually no rust, brand new soft top, and a red paint job that still shines. After purchase I drove it 1.5 hours from cape may to Philly without a single hiccup. And to think I only paid $1500!
Needs a D/S door adjustment (door closes but the door latch is faulty), a D/S rear turn signal and some minor cosmetic work. Car fax report was clean..only one accident (trunk dent) I have one pic and will post more later.
I plan on taking it to VAC motorsports to get a full inspection to ensure there are no hidden or potential issues. I also plan on swapping out the auto later this summer for a 5spd. Any suggestions on what else needs to be done right away? It's been awhile and I'm no mechanic. Thx!

if the timeing belt has not been serviced then do it now, and change the water pump.

when i picked up mine, i serviced the transmission, changed the oil in the rear end, did the timing belt, water pump, thermostate and flushed the system. great car. i drive mine from florida to massachusettes every year without a worry.
