My wife had to have a new oil pump installed on our x5 4.8i recently. The spring and cup that prevents the oil from being siphoned from the oil filter fell out. $737 for a pump, unbeliveable! Does anyone know if BMW would warranty this $2200 repair, or has anyone else had this problem? Thanks for the replies.
