Convertible Top Malfunction

Hi everyone! I have a 2001 Z3 3.0 convertible. The top is motorized, up/down buttons are between the driver's and passenger's seats. It's been working perfectly, but this morning I went to put the top down and nothing happened when I pressed the buttons. Should I check for a blown fuse first? And if so, where would I locate the fuses? I bought this car used and it didn't have the owner's manual with it. Any other ideas if it's not a fuse? Would like to see if I can solve it myself before taking it in to the shop. Thanks!!

From a previous post:
Fuse F46 provides power to the brake light sw, when the pedal is depressed, the sw passes pwr to the one side of both open/close relay Coils. (the other side of the coil is connected to the top open/close switch then thru the top limit switch to ground)

There is also a micro switch just above the driver's head that is known to fail. It tells the system when you push the top up before lowering it.

When mine failed it was the relay near the pump in the boot . do you hear the pump working ,if yes you have to push the tip of the top to initiate the folding.also check if your break light is on then the break pedal is pressed, if yes then connection between pedal and the pump electronics is intact.
Good luck.
