Rogue Engineering cat-back exhaust

Hi guys. Have just bought and installed a Rogue Engineering X pipe and mufflers on my z4 mcoupe. Build quality is top notch and fitting was no problem. However while there is no drone to speak of on the freeway there is a really irritating drone/resonance between 1800 -2300 rpm especially on partial throttle. Wondering if anyone else has experienced this? Cheers, Alex

This is a known characteristic of the RE exhaust. RE's description (no drone) of the exhaust is really NOT accurate. Maybe their definition of DRONE is different from everyone.

Try putting the stock X pipe back in. That is a resonator in the middle which keeps the resonance (aka drone) from the exhaust pulses beneath audible levels.
