In Palm Beach Bentleys are ubiquitous, 7, 6, and 5 Bimmers outnumber 3s by 3 to 1 and the F30 hasn't hit yet in big numbers, although I have seen a few.

Have a great time in the "Keys" ! Any Jimmy Buffet or Jimmy Johnson sightings ? We were there a few years ago and ate at Kelly McGillis's restaurant , as well as Jimmy Buffet's restaurant

I went to a charity car show at our club today, and parked my E93 335is next to a neighbor of mine before going over to see the cars. As he was getting out of his car, he asked if something happened to my Vette as to why I was driving my wife's car.

I agree with you though, the BMWs around here are mostly 7 Series or 6 Series convertibles.

I was in the Bay Area this week on business. I saw about a dozen F30's on the road. A ton in Marin County and near Burlingame.

I guess with my current job I don't commute by car any more so I am missing some f30 sightings. I do walk around downtown and see lots of BMW's but still of the e9X variant. Probably just my luck.

Burlingame is where all the families move to when they have kids. Not too far south from the city, good schools, and pretty upscale. Drive down Burllingame ave. and you'll see more Porsches, Jaguars, a Lambo sighting every now and then, and Range Rover soccer moms everywhere.

Marin - BMW stands for Basic Marin Wheels. It's what parents give their kids to go to high school or wives to go shopping in. Lots of 5 series, mostly guys, but I swear that the majority of 3 series are driven by women up there.

After tons of test driving in FL I'm taking delivery of new F30 M Sport in L.A. next week.

Good luck with your new ride. You should drive it on some mountain roads to gain a true appreciation for your cars capabilities. Florida roads are so flat and boring.

Yesterday and today is the Boca Raton Concours. We had commitments in New York and had to return and were not able to attend.

This is a typical line up of cars in front of the Boca Raton Resort and Club (none of them are mine ).

The Amelia Island Concours is March 8-10

http://www.ameliaconcours.org/

I would like to attend that event as they will be honoring Sam Posey but once again I have a commitment in NYC.

I would love to go to the Amelia Island Concours. Unfortunately, it looks like I needed to make plans sooner in order to get closer accommodations.

The Greenwich Concours is a day trip for us but for the Lime Rock Historics and the Watkins Glen Vintage Grand Prix I make reservations a year in advance.

It's about a 3 1/2 hour drive to Amelia Island from where I am. I could still possibly do it, but it would be nicer to be able to stay and get preferred parking instead of rushing around the entire day.

I have always wanted to go to Amelia Island anyway, so I'll take a trip there afterwards to tour the area and make plans for next year.

Thanks! Yeah, I noticed. No windy mountain roads here at sea level.

Took the day trip from the Marathon area down to Key Weat and had 2 F30 sightings.

First was a Silver, second was a Melbourne, both were base models, both coming across the Seven Mile Bridge.

For those keeping score, must have been my 30th F30 sightings since last August, I'd say 25 of those were base models, 4 were Lux or Sport, and only 1 was an M-Sport and it was on a test drive.

In GA, north of Atlanta, (outside the perimeter) there's quite a lot of E90s. But so far I've seen 4 or 5 F30s, not counting a couple of test drive close to the bme dealership that is close to home.

I actually saw 2 Alpine White yesterday next to each other (by chance). Both were 328 x drive base models.

Savor the moment because 3-Series' get far too common for their own goods, IMO.
