2002 530 won't start

So I went out to my car this cold morning and tried to start my 2002 530i, and nothing. It makes a clicking sound, but the engine won't turn over and start. The radio and lights came on and everything so it can't be the battery I have had problems with before. It s very cold out and the last couple days it hasn't started up as quickly as usual. You think it is a spark plug? I plan to get it towed to a good repair shop in my area tomorrow. Any idea what it could be? Thanks.

Too soon to tell. Make sure the shop has BMW experience.

I made sure of it. They specialize in German cars. Haven't been there before but it is close and the reviews speak highly of it

Did you check the battery voltage?

What clicking has anything to do with your plugs being the problem? Your problem is either battery, alternator, starter or huge issue with parasitic draw.

1+ for battery.
Once the battery is below certain voltage (around 9.5-10V), the car won't start.

Thanks for the replies guys. I dropped it off at the repair shop. Didn't have to get it towed because the guy gave me a jump and it started. So it was the battery. I have had problems with the battery in the past where the clamp won't stay down for long periods of time so the battery drains and dies. I don't know if I can order a new one or not. The battery is only about 6 months old.
