Little Photoshoot today....v New Suspension

Been a while since I whored....figured a good excuse to whore so here it goes...

can't believe she's 10 yrs old!

2003 540i m-tech
18x10 dpe gt-7 wheels all around (square setup)
bilstein sport shocks with h&r springs just replaced the suspension and all the mounts etc about 2 weeks ago...subtle drop...
oem euro hella headlights (my old adjusters were broken)...so good time to swap them out!
eisenmann race exhaust...
and alot of other stuff...


Fell in love with the car all over again after the drop and the headlights...

here are a few pics i shot today...not too thrilled on how these came out the sun was off to the side....

but i think i managed to get a few nice shots...still working on my photog skills....finding the time to practice lately has been very very difficult

yea i've owned the car since 06 and finally did it...i'm at 80,000 miles now and didn't realize how bad the OEM suspension was...

this made a world of difference...glad i finally did it...

For your photography: Get a polarized filter to cut the reflection on the hood and winshield.

sweet thanks! i've been thinking of picking one up for a while...but been too lazy to look at all my lenses and see the sizes i need LOL....but I will do that here soon....

Yes with a 5 yr old boy and a daughter on the way in March been quite busy with life...still do what i can with my 540i....but not as much as i used to...but thats okay ...

TIP: Buy one for your biggest lense. You can hold it over your smaller one.

i brought it to bimmerfest in 08 when it was in santa barbara....too long of a drive to pasadena, and besides bimmerfest falls on the same week i'm going to Puerto Rico for work...so puerto rico > pasadena

Just got my H&R sport springs today, the M5 sway bar is coming in a week, and the style 65's will be pulled off this weekend to get acid dipped, and blasted, prior to powdercoating. Did you install wheel spacers? Thinkin about putting 10mm wheel spacers on mine...don't want to go to 'radical'...

no spacers
no fender rolling/pulling

this is why i went with this drop i didn't want do go radical and start changing too much stuff..this is also why i love these wheels because i can run 275's all around without any issues...(i get a little rubbing when the steering wheel is at full lock) but i can live with that!

looks great! I kind of like the reflection, you can really see the lines of the car!

my rears were rolled at the factory so I think 10mm maybe even 15 is something 'doable'. I am very seriously considering leaving my factory sport springs on the rear, the H&R will drop the front end I think it is .7 inches which will give it a slight 'rake'... if you're running 275's all around then the Factory /M 5 style 65 wheels I am pretty sure are 235 I'd certainly have the room for some 'spacers to move the 'wheel/tire assy out just a bit with no rubbing...

Either way your car looks terrific just the way it sits...

h&r springs...car already had the factory sport suspension

I believe h&r makes a couple different springs. Ones called oe sport that lowers 0.75" and the other is called sport that lowers 1.8".

mines could be oe sport as they replace the oem sport and drop it a little lower than what it comes from the factory with...

remember as a factory sport option my car came lower than a standard non sport 540i
