FS 2002 540 M sport - Charlotte NC

Very highly sought after E39 BMW 540 w/ factory M sport package and very desirable style 66 wheels. 102K miles. Fully loaded. Very well maintained. Low miles and extra clean for its age. 100% factory, never raced, modified or wrecked. Non-smoker, no pets. No cracks or tears in the leather. Matching Michelin Pilot Sport tires with plenty of tread left. Excellent color combo too. I have lots of maintenance records. This car is silky smooth just like a BMW should be; it will not disappoint you. Plenty of power. Everything works as it should. Not many left out there like this one.

The only issue with this car is it does have a slight oil leak (front timing cover), but all BMW V8 cars do at this age/mileage. It does not affect the car at all - just being honest about its condition.

I am a 38 year old professional. This car has been my daily driver for the last 4.5 years. This is a serious sale, and I will entertain serious offers. But I know what I have and what its worth, so please, no tire kickers or lowballers. I have a clean and clear title in hand, ready to sign over to the new owner.

Thank you sir. That's funny... I just hope I can coordinate the sell with the new lease. I do not want to have to sell it while I have a new one in the garage, or sell mine too early and have to car pool in the wife's mini van!

I have a lawyer friend who has a '91 535 that he loves, but he loves my 540 too. We had lunch today and discussed him buying it. I know he will take good care of it. But what would suck about that is he is in the same building as me, so I would see it still everyday.... and I know he would taught me! He would say, 'hey, lets go to lunch today.. I'll drive'. Then remind me of the bottomless pit of torque it has...

I dropped the asking price to $10,900 this morning. I hope to sell soon so I can move forward with the lease.

Is it a true M Sport though? The front facia doesn't appear to be an M-tech?

And if it was a 6 speed, I think buyers would be knocking down your door.

I do not believe so. It was just pointed out to me that 'M Sport' is not the same as a 'sport'. I think M Sport, was techincally just the 2003 540s? Anyway, I'm not the expert and I know it has the factory 'sport' package as to whatever that was for the 2002 model year, which I think is the M steering wheel, the M style 66 wheels and a stiffer suspension - not the same as the M5 setup, but more aggressive than a 'non-sport' 540.

^^ It's not an M-Sport. Your car has the Sport package. The M-Sport has M5 front and rear bumpers, different moldings and trim. Nice car- looks clean.

Pretty smart for a geek ambulance chaser. Only took you like a week to get it that you don't have an M-anything. Not an M-Sport, not an M-tecknic, just a sport. Jesus, for a lawyer you are dense. Nice car though for what it is, which is still a decent car. Just call a spade a spade and your sale will go much better.
