Fuel filter flow direction

I'm replacing a fuel filter on my '95 525i. I could make a mistake while replacing this because the flow direction is reversed on a new fuel filter. Original one is bosch and new one is ACDelco. They look same but flow direction is opposite. This is so confusing to me. Could this be a misprint ?

I drove about 60 miles after replacing the fuel filter and it seems to work fine. Thanks for the advice.

The AC Delco was designed for something else, it just happens to fit. Follow the arrow but maybe next time buy a better brand of part, one made for the application.
