Help with info on BMW X5 3.0i

Hi everyone. I am thinking about buying a BMW X5 3.0i for 8k. It has 150k miles on it. It looks great and sounds good. Do any of you know if there are any know problems or concerns I should have about the vehicle? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

Get the full history on the maintenance either from the buyer or the dealership it was serviced at. Next have it inspected by a good bmw shop. Know before you buy.

Have a look at the videos that are particular to your vehicle, you will learn a lot about what to look for.

Outside mechanical, make sure the stereo works out of all speakers!
There is a quite a common and well documented problem with BM54 Radio Module (google it)

You also dont mention what year the vehicle is.... i'd be steering away from older models now.... there is just so much that go wrong.
Generally at that milage, you are buying a money pit. So do your homework first.

With 150,000 miles check
CV Boots for cracks or split,
Remove oil dipstick and check for yellow sludge
Remove Oil Cap and check for yellow sludge
Check that all the windows goes up and down
Check that all the doors and tailgate are operational
Make sure you get a minimum of two keys with the remote.
Check for any fluid leaks.
Drive it on a highway at speed above 55 mph and hit the brakes, is there a shudder or vibration from the front end?
If you have a scanner scan it for any trouble codes.
