hood release

The hood on my 98 328i will not release. I now think the cable came out of the latches. Has any one opened hood without breaking, bending or cutting it off? I took grilles out and can't see cable. I'm about ready to use torch. Thanks, Nelson

hood

Jonesin; Thank you for your video. I can see it's going to save a lot a time. When I was working I spent a lot of time in Ontario. Thanks again, Nelson

Smh what's the best way to get the hood to release on the driver side of a 98 328i. I'm trying not to get super frustrated.
