At the end of the tax year, the Tax Office sent an inspector to audit
the books of a local hospital. While the Tax Office agent was checking the
books he turned to the CEO of the hospital and said, "I notice you buy
a lot of bandages. What do you do with the end of the roll when
there's too little left to be of any use?"

"Good question," noted the CEO. "We save them up and send them back to
the bandage company and every now and then they send us a free box of
bandages."

"Oh," replied the auditor, somewhat disappointed that his unusual
question had a practical answer. But on he went, in his obnoxious way

"What about all these plaster purchases? What do you do with what's
left over after setting a cast on a patient?"

"Ah, yes," replied the CEO, realiseing that the inspector was trying to
trap him with an unanswerable question . "We save it and send it back
to the manufacturer, and every now and then they send us a free
package of plaster."

"I see," replied the auditor, thinking hard about how he could fluster
the know-it-all CEO. "Well," he went on, "What do you do with all the
leftover foreskins from the circumcisions you perform?"

"Here, too, we do not waste," answered the CEO. "What we do is save all
the little foreskins and send them to the Tax Office, and about once a year
they send us a complete prick."
Nuh-uh. I'm not from the Tax Office!

Speaking of auditors.....we just finished up our FDIC Audit today for the BSA/AML Group. Exit is supposed to be tomorrow, but they told us today they couldn't find a DAMN THING! Squeaky clean despite them choosing our most hectic two months for the intensive review. Even sent some of our more complicated files to his regional to "make sure he want missing anything" (aka try to find something so it looks like he's doing his job). Not even any gimmes, just a perfect report. SCORE!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the 1-Series is going to become a hatch thing (like in Europe), and the 2-Series is based upon the same chassis, but is going to be a 2-door coupe (like the current 1-Series). It's similar to how the new 3-Series is a sedan (or wagon), and the 4-Series will be based on the 3-Series chassis, but will be a coupe. Seriously stupid names, though.

In other news, I want:

SkyActive diesel + 6-speed = 30mpg city/45mpg highway. 3260lbs. Pretty damn great for a new volume car. Supposedly it handles very well, too. Unfortunately, like all things great, we cannot haz in US... We'll get a diesel manual Mazda6, which I'm very happy for, but only in sedan form...

went to the theatre tonight and saw a production of damn yankees. enjoy going to the theatre very much. been in a very creative mood of late. been sketching and even putting words to paper for short esays of sorts. flower show will be coming up, the first for our town, and will be working with the event coordinators to get some flower boxes and planters made/fashioned out of recycled lumber and other (safe) items. no cheesy tire planters...

feelin artsy for sure. (..goes looking for sandals...)

sleek, but what's with the blunt nose styling of late?? don't get me wrong, i think it works on this one, at least from this angle. on the bmw's it just looks awkward....

and of course we're not gonna get one here stateside....

silly. should know better than to even ask...

I think I'm one of the few that actually likes blunt noses on cars. Makes them look snouty - like they have a personality. Mercedes has been doing it for a little while, too.

That Mazda6 wagon looks like a million bucks, though. Or at least, it looks like it costs a lot more than it does.

Anyone else think we might have run the mythical moderator out of patience with the “Is dual exhaust possible on 1998 323ic?” thread? He let that thread get pretty wild without locking it.

Funny I had avoided both those threads for a long long time. I think he must have just been amused by the absurdity of 5.5 0-60 by a 323 with "Dual Ram Air"
The hardtop guy just didn't get it though.

I'm at home today playing babysitter. It's actually a nice change of pace from my busy work day.

Then off to the airport to pick up my wife's sister and boyfriend who are staying with us for 2 weeks. Wish me luck....

I've done that one, wasn't too bad. The trick is to scrunch your mouth up as much as possible so there's no air circulating around the cinnamon and then just keep you shyt together and breath through your nose until your saliva soaks it.
