Please explain how this works. Does USAA need to contact the dealer? They don't just send you a check after you've bought the car.

The Fine Print:

USAA Exclusive Incentive
This special incentive is available exclusively to persons eligible for membership in USAA's Property and Casualty Insurance Group. Incentives subject to change. See dealer for details. (Expires 07/31/2013)

1 Exclusive BMW Incentive offer is valid at any dealership nationwide. Member must take retail delivery by July 31, 2013. This incentive offer is not available to the general public. Offer is additive to all current national, regional and other bonus incentives. BMW incentives are only available to persons eligible for membership in USAA's Property and Casualty Insurance Group. P&C membership is generally available to current and former members of the U.S. Military and their former dependents. BMW requires presentation of a Photo ID and USAA insurance card with USAA number or a Confirmation Letter provided by USAA. For a Confirmation Letter, members can call USAA at 1-855-787-6272. One incentive per member insurance number per calendar year for new BMW vehicles. See your dealer for additional details.

My dealer took care of it after I showed him my USAA car insurance card. He made copies of it and immediately discounted $1,000 from my 328i price. I took possession of the car on the very same day. BTW - Car is being financed by BMW.

I undertand it has gone up to $1,500...great deal!

I took advantage of this deal back in December when I leased a 2013 328i though BMW. I had a copy of my insurance card and the dealer faxed it to USAA along with other paperwork. The the dealer deducted $1,000 (at the time) from final price and finalized the deal right then and there. No waiting for a check or anything like that.

The dealer will know what to do.
