X5 Base vs X5 Premium

Hello-
Other than the electronics and accessories, what is the most distinct difference between an X5 Base model and an X5 Premium model?

Are there differences in the drivability?

I know the wheels are 1" bigger in the Premium and does that contribute to performance?

It's all styling and features. Nothing to do with performance… well unless you consider different wheels to be a performance advantage.

You don't get adaptive drive and adaptive steering. Although, I can live without adaptive steering wheel. Adaptive drive option makes the x5 more a sporty car.

If you can afford to buy the base then you can afford the premium.

Don't miss all those luxury options when you are buying a luxury SUV. You would regret later.

I was in the same boat when I was planning to buy my X5 and didn't want to loose those nice options.

I thought adaptive drive was a $3500 option regardless of trim level. Is there a comparison somewhere on Bmws website that shows the difference in features for the trim levels?

I am really excited about the vehicle.
But then again not so thrilled at having to make monthly payments for 5 years. I did not have to make payments for the past 3 years

The 2013 x5 base packages have changed in for current production

I have the base and am very happy with it. In my old 08 the sunroof rattled--dealer said "that's just how they are"---and the cabin let in so much sun that the shade was hardly ever open because the interior became too hot. I paid around $45k for mine; which fact still pleases one year out. The 18" wheel/ tire is better in snow, and for those of us who tow heavy things is the better choice. Do whatever makes you happy, but never believe any post that says there is "one answer" about this. There are only opinions, each with their own justifications.
