Angel eye install
I know you guys have had several topics buy I got some mtech angel eyes for $30 on ebay and couldn't believe how easy the install was. Easily under 10 mins total. Happy with the outcome and for $30 can't go wrong.

Did you replace your fogs too? How is the color match to the factory xenons?

Saw them on eBay but they are all 230.00 not 30.00. That was a good deal if u paid that. I ordered mine from alpine mss but they have not come in yet...

Color match isn't too bad. Didn't change fogs yet as I was wanting to see how these looked. Here is an ad they sent with the lights

Also, I did a search for F01 angel eyes and searched cheapest first to see if there was any low priced ones and these came up. No errors, no resistors

I just ordered a pair too. 30.00. They code or get to hot, they will hit the trash can.

The color is bright white but not the same color of headlights... They have on e that is blue and that would probably match better. These just aren't yellow like the stock.. On my white drywall they have a blue hue but very light..

E-92 lighting lists these lights as a fog light bulb. You sure you have the right light installed? 55 watts might be too hot in the angel eye socket.

They are $22 on E92 lightings site.

Just had angel eyes installed. Should the 2 middle lights on a 08 550 shine when u put the car in reverse?

All newer BMW's with adaptive xenons/LED's do this. It's your cornering lights and actually makes turning in the dark easier if you notice the side path illumination they give. At low speeds the lights will illuminate to correspond with your turning or indicator direction. They fade on/off and can be hard to see if you aren't looking...

The issues with these bulbs is that at night they look great but during the day they're not visible unless you install high watt bulbs but installing high watt bulbs can cause damage. I went with PIAA's, the light is white and gets rid of the yellow and they're visible during the day.
Reference, the best lumens (visable light output) you will get will be from 4300K bulbs.

I'm also curious. These are stock halogen and won't yellow my housings right?

PIAA 18235 H8 Xtreme White Bulb
The bulbs are close to stock color but whiter if that makes sense.

They are more noticeable at night but I should have got the blue ones to better match... This isn't too much of a difference in the day light.

GOT THEM TODAY- THEY ARE WORSE THAN STOCK. THESE LIGHTS SUCK!!! SHAME ON ME! LOL. DO NOT BUY THEM. AS MANY HAVE PROVEN FOR ALL OF US, THERE IS NOT AN EXACT NON DAMAGING REPLACEMENT OR RETROFIT TO MAKE OUR 7's LOOK OR PRETEND TO HAVE LED's...DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY

Yup, don't waste your money...there's nothing on the market that will match the LED halos. Only way to get LED's is to retrofit the LED's on the 2013+ F01 but you're talking about a few thousands dollars to do the retrofit.
