They will make you feel like you are getting a royal treatment.... maybe if you get a car from Life Quality BMW Sales Department. Use them as your local service department where you didn't get your vehicle from and you are in for a surprise.
Brought my lease 2011 3-series for service millage overdue and adaptive lights malfunction - oil had been changed by my selling dealer in August 2012, but unfortunately they have never reset the next service millage, they did advanced the next service date by a year. Well, a service adviser who was assigned to me at LQ BMW had pulled his magic records and told me I am first of all responsible for $295.00 diagnostic fee for adaptive lights issue, and secondly, my car is a Canadian market car and does not qualify for BMW 4-year warranty/4-year free maintenance program I thought it could be an honest mistake and a wrong VIN was pulled out, but the paperwork presented to me (a printed paper sheet) had my car's information on iit, with notes below that it is a "Canadian market build". A few seconds later I was on a call with my selling dealer and had no issues arranging for them to drive down to Brooklyn from Harriman, leaving me a loaner and taking my car for service. A quick call to BMWNA confirmed that my car is US ordered, and the full warranty and free maintenance program are in fact intact; that any diagnostics, etc. are covered by the warranty terms with no cost to the customer. Customer beware, this is not the first time I've heard bad reviews on LQ BMW Service Department. Last edited by lqaddict; 02-26-2013 at 06:09 AM. |

not surprised to see they haven't changed in 12 years. had a horrible experience with them in 2002 (with a car that was purchased from them), and took my business elsewhere since. have heard lots of horror stories in the years since.
of the dealers in NYC, they are pretty much the bottom of the barrel. |

They tried to sell me an overpriced "executive demo" 3 series back in 2004 and that was the last time I went there. I heard a couple of service horror stories similar to yours in the last 8 years though. I am glad that your problem was solved.

Well a call to BMWNA and my negative post on dealerrating.com prompted a call from Steve who apologized profusely for the "honest" mistake one of his SA made, offering a loaner just to get me to the service center and get my business. Sorry but I felt it would be like being a mouse trapped with a well fed python - sure the mouse will not be eaten right away, but the question is when. I just told him I will not consider coming there now, but appreciated the call, really did. At least it means their inconsideration hurts their business.

yea it's. sad some dealers only respond once the risk of a bad rep is on the line. ie chance they could lose money or be found out to what they are liars
