question on 60 day lease rate lock
So current BMW lease incentives expire Feb 28, so on east coast I can lock for 60 days until April 28. If I want to do ED in Munich around May 20 or so, as long as I sign papers etc by April 28 I am locked in with Feb rates, but reading another thread here I read that you can not sign lease papers etc until you have a VIN number, which you typically get 10-15 days before production. If I ask for May 20 ED delivery, what would be probable production date and would I have problem getting the VIN before April 28?

Good question ! From previous posts, it seems that the Welt would hold your car for some time, not sure how long though.
Not sure if the following would work...but, worst case scenario, have the date scheduled for earlier in May, say the 5th, then once you get the VIN, say around mid-April, contact ED department and change it to the 20th. May shouldn't be too bad with deliveries. I changed my time last year within 1 week of travel. Hoping though that the incentives and lease numbers stay the same for March

If you are in California as your user profile suggests, our rate lock period here is 90 days, so don't worry about it...
![]() You cannot contract without a VIN, and only with an exception granted can you sign more than 30 days before delivery. If you do this remember that your billing cycle begins on the contract date.
