Neither. My CA did not even know that the cars were being unloaded or even arrived in NJ. I was checking the WW website and since I live very close to the port, once I saw that the ship was there online, I went there to make sure that it was. lol.
Then I called the delaership and arranged a Wednesday pick-up.

My CA told me. I'm hoping his dates are somehow off and Mia will be delivered sooner.

From what I can tell from Wallenius' website, Don Juan arrives in NY on Feb 27.

+1. looks like it will be in NY on 02/27 or 02/28. Then you can have your car 3-4 days after that depending on how fast your dealer is.

It's ok. Will still be a beauty. I don't have xdrive either, but I do have cold weather in Texas how funny is that?

It's interesting that you have cold weather. I don't have that either in NJ. Every sales person was looking at me as if they saw a lunatic when I asked them about a quote for a RWD 535 in NJ. lol

I know the look... When I added the package I was told I can get heated seats without cold weather... My reply was I know. Only a few more days, must be nice.

Congrats! Just a little bit if advice - try to get everything done while you are there. Bloomfield is refusing to send me my floor mats and wants me to pick up the $100 shipping charge. They agreed to give me the mats five minutes after the parts department closed.

That amount of shipping? What are they going to do, send you your mats via a Unicorn? Ridiculous. Are you going to pick them up yourself?

How was the finance guys? Did they push for anything? My CA told me that the car is already there and I can finalize everything in an hour. But I will let them finish up prepping the car tomorrow and pick her up on Wed. No rush necessary on that. I just need to go in prepared for the finance guys and check every inch of the car before taking delivery.

Haha, yeah they want me to pick them up, but it is too far so I'm still working it out. If they didn't take forever to approve the mats I could have picked them up along with the car.

In terms of the finance guy he'll run through the $700 for excessive wear and tear and a $2,300 starting point for the tire and rim warranty. He was visibly upset when I declined both and went on to tell me how inferior my tire and wheel warranty is.

With the new detailer they are using I would expect some swirls and a less than perfect prep. Hopefully you receive something better because you are giving them plenty of time. Good luck!

They tried to be sneaky and hoped once you got he car, you'd forget about them.

I already received the tire and wheel insurance paperwork from yahtzee5's guy. So I am good.

I want to negotiate the length of the deal and cut 3 months (from 39 to 36) since the Feb deals are a little better than the Dec deals. While doing that, I may get the wear and tear, if he includes that without altering the already agreed monthly payment. Sounds like win win. I do not drive too many miles with my cars but there are so many jealous bastards all around. I took delivery of my Infiniti in 2010 and the same night i traveled to PA and someone carved his initials on my rear door right in front of my in-law's house. Now I need to fix that before returning the car and it will cost me min. $500!

It sounds like i may end up getting a second detailing after the delivery and tinting.

That sounds like a fair deal if they include the wear and tear and kept the payment. After checking my numbers I could have switched to the 36 months (they told me it wouldn't work to my advantage but I'm sure it was because they were busy that day) and my payment would have dropped almost $20 a month. However, the real cost per month was exactly the same when you factor in up front money and spread that across 39 months instead of 36.

So Huffington how was the pick up?

Well, I could not make it today. A business meeting in the afternoon took waaaay longer than scheduled So the magic pick-up date is tomorrow 6:00 pm. Maybe things happen for a reason.

For those keeping track, Don Juan is about 10 miles from NY right now....should be docking soon.
