Most dealers can repair minor damage. Cost is about $100 per wheel. It will look like new.

Go to your dealer service dept after lunch which is usually the time the mobile repair units come for CPO prep (bumper refinishing , PDR, wheel clean-ups, etc.). You can usually save 25 to 75 per repair if you do it on your own... |

Good point, there are also mobile units that will come to your home and repair. You can google/yelp for services in your area.

The Dealer will upcharge you dramatically on this. You can probably get the exact same guy who does it for the Dealer to do it at his real cost for you if you contact him separately.

There's a guy in Orange County, Son Tran. He repaired some cosmetic wheel damage on my wife's E92 a few years ago. I know Son is still in this business and he is highly recommended by BMW folks here. Just google Son Tran and wheel repair and you will read a lot about the work he does.

I don't mean to hijack this thread, but I am also in need of scratch repair. I've only had these rims a few weeks and hit a curb last weekend. I can't remember the last time I hit a curb; figures I would have brand new rims when it finally happened. Anyway, these are machine faced. Take a look at the picture; do you think its repairable? It's not deep at all...

Guys, one of the great benefits of joining BMWCCA is that you have a local resource to tell you who is competent in your area. (We have a great rim repair shop here in Boston, but that's not going to do the guy in South Florida any good.). Seriously, join. $48/year, and the magazine alone is worth twice that. www.bmwcca.org

Probably a simple google search for your area will get you a source. Here in Houston there is a place I've used that charges a flat $130 or so and they fix almost any damage for that. They typically do it overnight the day you bring it in and the results are so good you'd swear they just bought you a brand new wheel.

Don't go to a dealer...way too expensive. Many collision repair shops repair minor curb rash for much cheaper. Place near my dealership charges $250 a wheel...and does great work.

$250/wheel is an outrageous price. Curb rash repair should be no more than $100.
