Power Kit for 135i, Anyone Added?

I suspect you just get used to it. I have a tuner for my F350 diesel and pull the tune if I put the truck in the shop. Driving with it for months / years you take it for granted until you back it out. Then you miss it

IMO I think that no matter what you do you'll get used to it after a while!

And the wierd thing is I have an 09 so I really dont get why its so much

With any real power increase you can feel it right away but you do acclimate to it after a while & don't really notice it. This is a good thing because it means you are managing the power not the power managing you.

You'll notice it even more if you have an N54 with newer software, the PPK is only way to fix the car once it's been updated.

For those that got it how much labor time did they charge you? The service bulletin says it takes only 30 minutes.

I paid for an hour and a half, they had the car for 2 days though. It's basically just sitting there loading the software and reloading it if they have a problem.

On the website they say its 800 uninstalled 1k installed. I have a 15% but I am hoping it will be cheaper or I get a better discount

Can you buy this on Ebay and take it to a BMW Dealer to install?

If it's coming from a dealer on ebay then you can. I got mine from United BMW online and then had my local dealer install it.

I am looking at EBAY and they are selling the KIT from BMW dealers. Looks like i can find it for 600. How much are people paying for dealer instillation?

When the BMW power kit was $600 + installation, it was a good buy, but now it is app $1400 (out the door price) for the 20 HP increase. The Dinan stage one raises HP to 360 and torque to 373 and costs app $1650 out the door here in Monterey Calif. The Dinan has more power, more torque and is dealer installed. Both the BMW and Dinan are 30 minute software tweaks and the only hardware is the decal under the hood! I choose Dinan for the 60 HP and 373 ft pounds of torque. (More gain per dollar!) My 135i has the sport package with the oil radiator under the ft bumper. I also have a BMW performance exhaust-this is not a slow car! I am considering the cold air intake for my next addition.
