Thanks! I'm thinking I'm not wanting to spend more on this project; if I can't get my hands on that part and/or it still doesn't work, it's going to be Plan Demolition.

all OT aside, this thread further reinforces my decision to forego my sunroof in favor of a delete panel... if only they weren't so damned expensive.

I feel exactly the same way. But with my headliner falling down, I don't open the roof at all till I fix it.

No way I could live without a sunroof. Only car I've ever had without it was a Targa top.

It's only about 10 weeks a year you'd want to use it here anyway, it's too hot in the summer. That sun will come in and cook you. It's insufferably hot by mid May. It looks sharp in the vent position though.

If I could do it all over again I would also just delete it. Even when it worked, I barely used it. If not delete, but another cartridge on eBay or something and wait for that one to break lol

It isn't really a nightmare until you take it apart. That was my mistake.

I don't know, i've been enjoying having it open. Granted, I don't have much choice in the matter as there isn't anything to actually close, and I've been looking rather disreputable by the time I get anywhere since my hair turns into a large afro-rats-nest... But its still fun while driving. This could also be the novelty of having it since mine hasn't worked properly since the first month or so of my ownership. Its been in the eighties here too and as long as you don't stop, the breeze makes up for the sun.

No. I highly dislike this plan. I'll just stick to whining about my sunroof.

I had to Google that. I was laughing thinking about the rat's nest. My wife practically demanded one when we bought her Escape, and I have yet to see it open for the same reason Amber mentioned. And I wouldn't throw one in either FTR. Despite what the evil hag Siri thinks of me.

Y'all wouldn't ban me, empty threats. There may be pictures somewhere considering I wandered around running errands and didn't even realize my hair was a giant knot. My friend very much failed on warning me.
