E39 OEM Hella Tail Lights

Mint condition OEM Hella tail lights off a 2000 525

ok so im confused about something. These look like the tail lights that i thought only came on the post-face lift e39s. the ones that are apparently very difficult and risky to install on the pre face lift models. ive recently been trying to research this had came to the conclusion that the only way i was going to get the euro style tail lights for my 2000 528i was to go aftermarket. As i said these look like the lights on the post face lift e39s or any of the M-tech models. My question is that since these are clearly OEM hellas and off of a 2000 525 shouldnt they fit my car no problem? You didnt say anything about them using ballasts, do they not require them? please someone enlighten me on this. I would much rather have some hellas than some ****ty after market lights, even if they look good.

no ballasts needed they only fit 2000 and up e39s they don't fit mine hence why I'm selling them let me know what you'd like to do

well im very interested in these im just trying to find some info on hella clear tail lights not using ballasts. my car is a 2000 yet the actual production date was 12/1999. im hoping this wont matter. where did you get these?

they're off of a 2000 525. The engine blew I took the headlights, tail lights,and wiper motor I used the wiper motor and sold the headlights they are the real thing not Chinese knock offs believe me.

i definitely believe you, the pics clearly show them being hella. I was just never able to find anything on the clear led tails being in anything earlier than 01 models. im still trying to research it a bit but have still come up with nothing. the backs of these look just like the ones that use ballasts.
