Tail lights!!! How to upgrade from 83 to 90

Hello everyone
I was thinking if i want to put the tail lights of 1990 to my e30 1983, do i only change the lights or i need to change some body work??
Ive compared some pics and it looks like i have to change the... I dont know, but something is different

You can't do that. What you saw were pictures of an early model e30 that had been converted to plastic bumpers. The bumpers are the only things that can be changed, not the tail lights.

You can't put a rear plastic bumper on an early model without fabrication.

Cut the rear clip off of a 88 and up and weld it on your car. No easy way to do it. Whats wrong with the early taillights anyway? I did the all red lenses on mine and love em.

Can you please send me a picture of your taillights, ive seen some pics where its all red but it wasnt a clear picture, how did you did you do it anyways!!!
