'87 new buy maintenance checklist

Looking forward to recieving a '87 vert this weekend. Even though the previous owner was good on his maintenance, I plan on immediately doing the following:

Timing Belt kit....not changed in several years (30k miles ago)
change auto trans fluid and filter
change rear end fluid
brake fluid flush

What would be some other suggested items to address?

I used to have a 86 325e coupe way back in the day so I'm somewhat familiar with the layout and some of the issues.

some more i would suggest:

thermostat
water pump
spark plugs
distributor cap & rotor
fuel lines
check for misc leaks

that's all i can think of right now

Thanks....good suggestions. I was planning on the fuel filter also......I noticed you suggested fuel lines. Are the fuel lines difficult to replace?.....I'm no spring chicken...

fuel filter is another one.

the rubber fuel lines are not hard to replace. i would leave the metal ones alone as long as they don't have any serious rust on them.

Thanks for the input....now what on-line source would you recommend for quality parts at a reasonable price?

i prefer Pelican Parts.

some other mermbers use different places, but most of them are more expensive than Pelican.
