Yes on both counts.
Inside the car with windows closed you won't hear a difference, but the exhaust has more of a deep rumble when standing outside. Nothing obnoxious.
It's all well worth it, you'll see.

Peder

How is your RB turbo plan going on, That definitely is an expensive mod right?

Post some pics of your beast..

$2,700 via a group buy. They go in on March 26 if Rob Beck ships on time. I am number 4 on the list. Also 4th 535 in RB history. I thought I was first but the other ones don't post I guess.
I look forward to the prospect of pushing the car to 6,800 rpms without any loss of peak hp, just grind it all the way. You gain a lot of horse power in the upper rev band with these turbos, more like NA performance. Very different from stock.
I will start a new thread when they are installed and I have info to share. This should get me to 500 WHP and 520 WTQ. About double the stock output when you factor in 18-20% powertrain loss from crank to the wheels.
Looking forward to rudely embarrass some M5s out there. I will have a box of Kleenex ready for them as surely there will be tears.
The gang at Camber Toe Performance are doing the installation. Randy, Ryan and Mike. 2 day job.

The RB turbo group buy closes in 3 days. I think normal price is $3,200-3,500 depending on model. The 5 series has a different rear turbo than the 1 and 3 series. I wasn't looking to do it now, but the group buy swayed me. Plus a 3 series buddy who has them bugs me daily about how awesome they are. Also I couldn't get the sound out of my head....
