Enhanced bluetooth streaming without nav?

Hi all. I picked up my new X1. It has BMW assist w/enhanced bluetooth but not nav or technology package. I was under the impression that I would be able to stream audio via bluetooth but I don't see any way to do it. I only have phone functions and my audio inputs are showing tuner, satellite, CD, auxiliary, and USB. But not bluetooth. Can anyone verify or give me instructions? Thanks!

What does your owners manual say?

The only mention of Bluetooth in the owners manual is with regard to phone pairing.

Are u sure it has enhanced? I though tech package was a requirement for it.

Yes, it was on the car's build list and the window sticker.

It is on the invoice as "7H8 BMW Assist w/enhanced BT & USB"
Wholesale $590, MSRP $650

Sorry, you must have iDrive for Bluetooth streaming. Business radio does not support it. This has been discussed in the past.

BMW Assist is standard on 2014's now, but in 2013 as mentioned you must have Tech package for the "BMW Assist & Enhanced Bluetooth" options.

I've previously posted a link in the forum to where you can download the BMW Professional Radio manual that's used in X1's without the tech package and that will be more helpful for reading about what you can do on non iDrive X1's. You can still do streaming via headphone jacks/aux but most people prefer USB thumb drives of music which can be eaiser than messing with a phone and cables. Its also worth noting that most functionality you get in iDrive (basically not nav) can either be accessed via the Radio or instrument panel lcd and stalk. It might surprise you.
