This is the most notable and prestigious landmark in my town, the "creme de la creme", the place to see and be seen...

Is that black/cream beige combo? Nice but you're brave parking next the the shopping cart pen!

I'm debating a long drive to Cleveland from NJ next week to meet up with a friend (I heard 6 hours or so). Would be nice if weather cooperated to drive with top down. Also a bit skeptical taking a long drive with these RFTs if anything should happen. Not sure of how Rt80 is through PA (road condition, etc)

Mikey, I on the other hand consider Cleveland my adoptive town. Although I've been here long enough to acquire it's sports culture and mindset: fun, but in a miserable kind of way...

Gregg,

This is a Costco that caters to a more sophisticated crowd, the kind that has shopping cart discipline...

The color on my seats is oyster. With oyster, I like that palette remains two-toned with some black trim. With beige, the whole interior becomes beige.

I've never taken the vert on a long road trip, but I did so with the X5. My experience with RFTs have been very good thus far and that they are reliable. Weather remains unpredictable in the northeast though -- you might get three seasons in one day. I still have my winter tires on and I plan to have them on until April.

NK! Once again, I am appreciative of how you have even your window stickers completely parallel to the top of your windshield. How's Dallas this time of year?

Not quite sure about Dallas, but Houston is a beautiful sunny 72°F with not a cloud in the sky.

You're killing me!

I thought it was nice today, here in Indianapolis, because it wasn't snowing. My poor Miata (Mr. Miyagi) sits under a tarp with an inch of snow on it.

Beej, you should make that "nav bump thing" in the middle of the dash retract before you take your interior shots. It's very distracting. Oh, it's not a 5 series? It doesn't retract? Never mind.

Saw this gorgeous E30 vert today and made the wife snap a pic with my phone.

It was 41 degrees out at the time

Retraction is a bad thing, not a good thing.

Boot-up times with these things, especially with the rear camera, becomes a big issue and the last thing I would need to do is wait an extra five seconds for some noisy motor to move the screen up and down.

Once you have the new F30, you need the screen more than ever before. It's no longer something optional, it's necessary, it's required equipment. You can't see a radio station or navigate your iPhone without it. That's why it is permanently affixed, doesn't go up and down like a silly toy.

BJ

Based on the rules I don't think I can play.

Top down season starts here in September and will last until probably May when it gets a bit toasty in the daytime (it'll get into the 90's). I think I've only had my top UP about five or six days since September due to some rain.

Angler,
The new ride is a cutie!!

Vanna looks a bit chilly though! Hope you didn't give her frostbite making her ride around with the top down.

Well sort of.... when we got to the highway she made me put the top up. Goes to show you that Vanna still is a flatlander after living in Vermont for 25 years
