2005 545i Quad Exhaust

I just got my 545 and want to put a quad exhaust like the M5's have but have been discouraged by other bmw owners because they say it will never work or that it will have to have a "dummy kit" installed? I'm looking for anyone who has done this or anyone who knows how I can do this. (I'm pretty determined!!)

You can do it, but don't expect power gains. It is mainly for looks. I had a quad exhaust on my old 530, I didn't lose significant power, but I didn't gain anything either. The only thing about a quad setup is you have to bash the battery box in to fit the right side tips, this doesn't damage the battery at all, just notches the box so that the tips will fit.

Pjinca- How about remus quad, do you think will there be any performance change/Power gain?

I have true dual borla exhaust with quad tips on my 550i. It sounds really good like a v8 suppose to sound. It can be done.

Nope, the Remus is over priced and under performing. It sounds okay, not loud at all, no drone, but not much difference over the stock system to be honest. Not worth the $$$$$. I haven't seen Dyno #'s for the Magnaflow, but if you insist on going quads the Magnaflow is fairly cheap. I wanted proven gains, so I stuck with single sided RPI exhaust to give me the exhaust note I love and REAL HP gains.

I called Magna and they said they dont have a quad setup for E60.. The only option is remus and i am not comfortable because those pipes are meant for 525 and 530, i am also worried if there will be any loss of power.. I might probably end up with RPI or Eiesmann dual tip exhaust

It's going to have to be customs made, which is fine. Just find a reputable shop.

Any suggested shops?

Is this a custom setup using Borla parts? If so, what components do you have? Any droning? Most of the quad tip setups I've seen use Magnaflow.
