Daytime Running Lights - Can I replace on my own

My left daytime running light it out (both left lights). What light bulbs do I need to purchase to change these? I got a quote from the local deal and they were $240. If one side is out do I need to replace sides? I was considering upgrading to 'angel eyes' but I don't know what bulbs that comes with. Any suggestions?

Search "angel eyes". Bulb type is H8. You can change them yourself in 10 minutes.

+1, 5 minutes for the first bulb and 3 minutes for the 2nd.

Thanks for the information. If I just replace the daytime running light what is the bulb type? Where is a good place to buy either the daytime running lights or the angel eyes? Are the angel eyes worth the extra cost? Are they any different from regular bulbs? Sorry for my lack of knowledge....a friend just said they looked "cool".

2 options. The second one is dirt cheap, but doesn't last as long as the LED types. Also not as bright, though much better than the yellowish stock ones.

Hate to bring this thread back to life, but for an E60, is there a reliable DIY somewhere? The videos on YouTube are somewhat contradictory.

Have basic 3100k H8 from Autozone, just need to replace left bulb quickly and then I'll investigate going to an LED solution.

Thanks!

**Disregard: Found the proper video in another thread, just took way too long...**

If you have the owner's manual, it tells you how in there.

this what i did when i had the same issue. I research trough youtube put year make model just to see where where and how to remove lights. Then remove it yourself. Once remove there should be serial number around the bulb. Type number in google and all these options pop up. Find a website call these stores which at time located in another state or out of country. They will help. Good luck
